Want to know more about the candidates running for mayor of Santa Fe and how they are financing their campaigns? Want to show support for your candidate? Join New Mexicans for Money Out of Politics for a mayoral candidate forum on February 12, 6:30 pm, Santa Fe Community College: Jemez Room.
Mayoral candidates Peter Ives, Joseph Maestas, Kate Noble, Ron Trujillo, and Alan Webber will each give an opening statement followed by a question and answer period, which will start with a question about the candidates’ use or nonuse of the City’s public campaign finance system. Moderator David Burling will then select questions submitted in writing from audience members for each of the candidates to answer. At the end of the forum, candidates will present closing statements.
This meeting is an informational forum, not a debate. Supporters are free to wear buttons, tee shirts, etc.; however, in the interest of time, the organization asks that audience members refrain from clapping and cheering. New Mexicans for Money Out of Politics is a non-partisan, non-profit, tax-exempt organization which prohibits them from endorsing any candidate and asks that no signs be displayed outside or inside the room.
